Material Handler (Clean Background)

• Keep in mind this positions requires a Clean Background and a Drug Test.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment in accordance with OSHA safety protocols.
• Operate RF scanners and other warehouse technology to accurately track inventory levels and update records in real-time.
• Pick and pack orders efficiently using order picker equipment to meet shipping deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by inspecting inbound shipments for accuracy and quality, then storing items appropriately.
• Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of materials to ensure proper placement and storage within the warehouse.
• Maintain organized inventory storage areas, perform regular cycle counts, and report discrepancies promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during material handling activities.

Experience

• Prior experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse operations is highly preferred. (Not required)
• Proven skills in order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, crane systems, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and load & unload machinery.
• Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Familiarity with warehouse technology including RF scanners and basic warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Previous supervisory experience as a warehouse supervisor or team lead is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards related to materials handling and workplace safety protocols.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
