MATERIAL HANDLER

OBJECTIVE / FUNCTION and  SCOPE: Maintaining accurate stock control ensuring that jobs are correctly kitted as required by the production schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To issue parts to the factory as required and to update the system accordingly.
• To complete regular stock checks as required by the superio/manager.
• To accurately pick items in accordance with the job specific Bill of Materials ensuring conformance to the customer’s requirements.
• To use the company computer ERP system to maintain accurate records.
• To keep control of all stock parts and to maintain stock levels as agreed by the Purchasing Manager.
• Ensure the department operates in accordance in accordance with quality procedures.
• To keep the working area / stores clean and tidy free of hazards as per the company’s health and safety policy (as per the handbook and policy statement), reporting any potential dangers to the Operations Manager as soon as they arise.
• Be prepared to undertake any internal / external training as required.
• To undertake any other duties, from time to time, as can be reasonably requested by the company.
• Communicate, coordinate and maintain proper relationship with colleagues and seniors in order to achieve smooth work flow.
• Ensure Housekeeping and Time Keeping requirements are met
• Ensure you are trained for the work that you are doing
• Ensure any matters dealing with OH&S are communicated and attended to including abiding by requirement under the OH&S Act.
• Take the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the attainment of the company’s quality objectives
• Uphold the company’s Quality Policy and Human Resource Management Policies and Procedures.
