Material Handler

Join our team as a Material Handler, where your energy and precision will keep our operations running smoothly! If you like having clear tasks, seeing the results of your effort and learning new skills, this is an opportunity to build experience in warehouse operations.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Fairmont City, IL 62201, within the greater St. Louis area. You will work alongside the warehouse supervisor, inventory team and shipping staff to keep materials organized and orders moving.

When deliveries arrive

Help unload incoming goods, check quantities against delivery documents and look for damaged items or incorrect labels. Record discrepancies and notify your supervisor so they can be addressed before stock is put away.

You will move materials to their assigned storage locations, keeping products clearly identified and accessible for the team.

As the working day gets moving

• Pick materials and products using order lists or instructions
• Replenish stock in designated warehouse areas
• Pack items securely and prepare them for shipment
• Apply labels and check that quantities match the order
• Stage completed orders in the correct collection area
• Assist with stock counts and update inventory records
• Use approved handling equipment after appropriate training
• Keep aisles, storage areas and workstations clear

Before goods leave

Check that orders are complete, packaging is secure and shipment labels are correct. Help the shipping team prepare goods for collection and assist with loading as directed.

Report missing items, damaged packaging or other concerns promptly. Your work will help prevent avoidable delays and keep warehouse records consistent with the goods being moved.

A practical starting point

Previous experience is not required. Training will introduce you to the stock layout, order procedures, equipment and safe material-handling practices.

We are looking for reliability, basic counting skills and attention to detail. You should be willing to follow instructions, ask questions and work cooperatively with others.

As a Material Handler, you will develop hands-on skills in receiving, inventory handling, order preparation and dispatch. You will have guidance as you learn the processes and take responsibility for your assigned tasks.
