Material Handler

Spartanburg SCHEDL Automotive is currently has openings for Material Handlers for late shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM). This is a full-time direct hire position. We’re looking for driven individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, bring a positive attitude to work each day and are ready to get started with a competitive starting pay of $18.00 per hour + $1 per hour shift premium.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Follow work instructions
• Unload tires from trucks manually
• Palletize and/or restack tires
• Label materials with identifying information
• Sort and place materials
• Forklift driving, move tires/wheels from receiving areas to designated areas
• Conduct other tasks and liaison as directed by the supervisor
• Operate forklift in accordance with safety and standard working practices
• Ensure forklift is properly stored, charged, cleaned, and ready to operate
• Inform supervisor of any damages, accidents or incidents
• Responsible for keeping work area clean

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• 1+ years Sit-Down Forklift experience
• Stand-up Forklift experience is a plus
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language
• Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with continuous interruptions
• Availability to work overtime including weekends
• Ability to work any shift as required
• Teamwork and flexibility

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to manually unload tire trailer
• Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand and move continuously during working hours

SCHEDULE

• Monday - Friday 2:30PM - 11:00PM (shift premium)
• Every other Saturday 7AM-3:30PM
• Overtime as needed
