Duties

• Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Operate RF scanners for accurate order picking and inventory updates
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying shipments against documentation
• Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting to move materials within the warehouse
• Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring proper stacking and placement of goods on pallets or racks
• Follow OSHA safety protocols diligently during all warehouse activities to prevent accidents
• Support warehouse supervisor in inventory management tasks such as stock counts and cycle counts
• Use basic math skills to measure, count, and verify quantities during order fulfillment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling
• Assist in training new team members on warehouse operations and safety procedures

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including order picker, forklift, clamp truck, pallet jack, and heavy equipment operation
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners for accurate data entry
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards
• Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately
• Experience in warehouse supervisor roles or overseeing warehouse activities is a plus
• Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment such as cranes or load & unload machinery confidently
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining inventory accuracy
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supporting warehouse operations
