Material Handling Clerk 2nd Shift

POSITION PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Billing Clerk is to provide support to the shipping/receiving team under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor inventory levels and maintain FIFO rotation and inventory accuracy
• Ensure departmental standards for loading are being met. Utilize multiple computer programs to ship and receive products
• Maintain an accurate log detailing inbound and outbound shipments.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Intermediate level computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred.  Data Entry and experience with inventory control and processes are a plus as well as any experience in a warehouse environment.  Good communication skills and the ability to multitask are extremely important.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Ability to sit for up to 8 hours in a day.
• May be required to stand for up to 2 hours per day
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on occasion to move file boxes or supplies
• Must be comfortable working in an office in which the temperature is maintained at approximately 60 degrees
• May be required to go into the freezer periodically (-10 degrees).  Appropriate freezer clothing will be provided.
