Material Master Data Specialist (77124)

About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Material Master Data Specialist to manage and maintain material master data in SAP. You will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy and consistency across plants and business units while supporting data governance, system projects, and continuous process improvement.

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with multiple departments and global teams, including Global Costing, COUPA, and H4 Hana, and to contribute to SAP upgrades, migration, and master data improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain Material Master Data in SAP, including material type, plant, unit of measure, standard price, and other relevant fields.
• Extend material master data to new plants, company codes, and storage locations when required.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability of material master data.
• Validate material master requests according to naming conventions, classification rules, duplicate checks, unit of measure, and internal SOPs.
• Conduct data quality checks and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare master data reports, data consolidation, and performance monitoring reports.
• Act as the key contact for material master data-related issues.
• Support internal and external stakeholders regarding material master data accuracy and traceability.
• Coordinate with related departments and global teams, including Global Costing, COUPA, and H4 Hana.
• Support SAP upgrades, system migration, and master data conversion activities.
• Participate in UAT testing for material master data and system changes.
• Maintain SOPs, work instructions, documentation, and training materials.
• Drive continuous improvement of master data processes and governance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Material Master Data, SAP, ERP, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related functions.
• Good knowledge and practical experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of master data management, data quality, and data governance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments and global stakeholders.
• Good English communication skills are an advantage.
