Summary/objective

The Material Operator monitors ensures each plastic injection molding machine has material to run for each 24-hour period according to the production schedule.

Essential functions

• Ability to perform in a dynamic work environment with continuous walking, moving or handling of materials.

• Measures resin and updates logs

• Material Grinding

• Monitors dryers

• Must be organized and work efficiently

• Must become proficient in the use of electric pallet jacks

• Must maintain 5S housekeeping requirements

• A Fostering an incident- free atmosphere by following EHS guidelines and adhering to safety protocols

• Performing other duties as assigned

Work environment

Manufacturing Facility

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be detail oriented

• Have basic math skills including knowledge of ratio's for color and resin mixing

• Must be a self-starter

• Must be flexible with shifts

• Prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is preferred

• Must possess the skills and knowledge of creative problem solving, and be detail oriented

Physical Factors:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.

• Must be able to:

• Stand for 8 – 12 hours

• Walking, stooping, bending and climbing

• Push/pull up to 300 lbs with or without assistance

• Lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
