Material Planner

Qualifications

• College Graduate preferably Industrial Engineer or Chemical Engineer Graduate
• At least 2 years of experience as material planner and inventory controller.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Good communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels in accordance with the department goals and objectives.
• Monitor raw materials and finished goods stock and act accordingly for critical materials falling below the safety stock level.
• Reviewing inventory levels of materials and ordering additional quantities when necessary.
• Create forecasts for materials requirements including estimating seasonal fluctuations in demand.
• Plan of raw materials ang traded goods base on sales forecast. Prepares analysis on forecast accuracy on consumption of raw materials and calls the attention of sales with poor accuracy on forecasted sales.
• Prepares and submit raw materials and traded goods purchase plans to Purchasing.
• Prepares requisition for the raw materials to purchase considering the lead time of arrival and submit it to Purchasing.
• Monitors arrival of requested materials based on requested date and calls attention of Purchasing for delays.
• Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
• Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials ad products.
• Communicating with Sales, Technical & Production regarding order status and changes in delivery dates or quantities.
• Support Technical in developing material specifications based on client needs and ensuring that materials meet those specifications.
• Attend coordination meeting with sales, purchasing and productions (Sales & Operations Meeting) and customers (if requested) and act on assigned tasks.
