Material Planner

Material Planning

• Manage material requirements planning (MRP) and review system-generated planning recommendations
• Ensure materials are available to support production schedules and demand requirements
• Monitor and manage material supply risks including shortages, delays, and demand changes
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure supply commitments align with production plans
• Review and maintain planning parameters such as order policy, order period, lead times, and order quantity

Inventory Control

• Monitor raw material inventory levels and identify excess, slow moving, or obsolete stock
• Support initiatives to optimize inventory and improve inventory turnover
• Provide visibility of inventory exposure and supply commitments
• Participate in periodic inventory and obsolete stock review processes

Supply Coordination

• Work closely with production planning to align material availability with production schedules
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and escalate supply risks when required
• Support cross-functional teams to resolve material shortages and supply disruptions

Planning Analysis

• Analyze demand trends, material consumption, and supply risks
• Provide planning insights to support decision making on production scheduling and material supply
• Identify planning improvement opportunities to enhance supply stability

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in process improvement initiatives within the planning and supply chain functions
• Support implementation of system or process improvements that enhance planning visibility and efficiency

Safety

• Ensure the working environment is always safe
• Follow company safety policies and procedures

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• Experience in material planning or supply chain planning in a manufacturing environment 5 years up
• Experience using ERP, MRP, SAP, QAD systems
• Experience in global supply chain environment.
