Material Planning Analyst / Rayong

About the role

We are seeking a Material Planning Analyst to join our team at Skillpower Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Rayong on a contract basis. This role is pivotal to our operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and resources throughout our manufacturing and logistics processes. As a Material Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial part in optimising our supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring that production schedules are met consistently. Your analytical capabilities and strategic thinking will directly impact our operational excellence and business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse demand forecasts and historical data to develop accurate material requirements plans
• Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or overstock situations
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow
• Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, consumption trends, and material utilisation rates
• Optimise material schedules to minimise lead times and reduce carrying costs
• Utilise planning software and ERP systems to track materials and update forecasts
• Identify discrepancies between planned and actual material usage and investigate root causes
• Support production planning by providing timely material availability assessments
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure delivery schedules align with production requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on supply chain efficiency

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in material planning, demand planning, or inventory management within a manufacturing or logistics environment
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems and planning software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across multiple departments
• Experience with demand forecasting methodologies and inventory optimisation techniques
• Knowledge of supply chain best practices and lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English is essential; Thai language skills are advantageous
