Material Planning and Control Supervisor

About the role

TRI-PHIL International, Inc. is seeking a Material Planning and Control Supervisor to join our Bag Department. This is a full-time position based in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing material planning operations, inventory control, and scheduling activities. You will play a critical part in maintaining the balance between production demands and material availability, directly contributing to our manufacturing excellence and operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee material planning processes to ensure accurate forecasting and timely procurement of raw materials and components
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align material requirements with production schedules
• Analyze demand patterns and historical data to optimise inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs
• Prepare and maintain material planning reports, including stock status, consumption trends, and variance analysis
• Implement and enforce material control procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Supervise and mentor staff, providing training and performance feedback
• Liaise with suppliers to manage lead times, order quantities, and delivery schedules
• Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in material planning, inventory control, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Proven experience in supervisory or team leadership roles with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Advanced knowledge of material planning techniques including demand forecasting, safety stock calculations, and just-in-time (JIT) principles

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and patterns

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

• Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in data entry and inventory reconciliation

• Knowledge of inventory management methodologies

• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
