Material Testing Supervisor - Chemist

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of BS Chemistry with license (Registered Chemist)
• With at least 2 years work experience working in a laboratory or in a similar capacity
• Knowledgeable with Continuous improvement / quality assurance methods and techniques
• Strong data interpretation capabilities to troubleshoot anomalies and draft technical reports.
• Ability to validate analytical methods to ensure testing processes are accurate, precise, and reproducible.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ISO 9001 (Quality Management)

Job Description:

• Over-all in-charge in facilitating day to day operation of material inspection and analyzing substances to determine the composition and concentration of elements to ensure that Safety and Quality are met.
• Maintain a safe and clean work place, basic knowledge on safety management of chemicals in the Laboratory
• Execute chemical formulation as per the raw materials testing requirements.
• Execute plan to assure Quality and on-time test results of raw material prior use of production
• Monitor compliance to machine maintenance schedule for both in-house and outsource preventive maintenance services
• Executes any related chemical analysis
• Conducts training and evaluation of inspector and Technicians
• Monitoring and Management of chemical inventories
• Maintains availability and accessibility of both internal and external documented information
• Test lab maintenance and continuous improvement
• Manage and Execute disposals of used chemicals according to EMS rules and regulations
