Job Description Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Clerk – Kitting to support daily kitting operations on their manufacturing floor. In this role, you’ll pick, issue, stage, and verify components for production kits, making sure every kit is accurate, complete, and ready on time to keep production moving and shipments on schedule.

Day to day, you’ll work from bills of material, pick lists, and work orders, process inventory transactions in WMS/ERP systems, and use RF scanners and material handling equipment to move materials efficiently through the operation. Accuracy matters here. You’ll follow established procedures for labeling, lot and serial traceability, revision control, and quality hold/release, and you’ll be the first line of defense in catching shortages, discrepancies, and damaged parts before they reach production.

You’ll report to the Kitting Supervisor and work closely with the Planning, Materials, and Production teams. Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick, issue, stage, and prepare materials for production kits based on BOMs, pick lists, and work orders.
• Ensure kits are complete, accurate, and properly sequenced to support production schedules and shipment deadlines.
• Identify material shortages, discrepancies, and damaged components and escalate them to the Kitting Supervisor.
• Process inventory transactions, including issues, returns, and system movements, accurately in WMS/ERP systems.
• Maintain location accuracy and support cycle count activities to protect inventory integrity.
• Follow SOPs for labeling, lot/serial capture, traceability, revision control, and quality hold/release.
• Operate RF scanners, carts, and other material handling equipment to support efficient kitting.
• Stage completed kits and move work-in-process materials to designated production or storage areas.
• Keep kitting and warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Support continuous improvement through standard work, visual management, and waste reduction practices.
• Collaborate with the Kitting Supervisor and cross-functional teams to meet operational goals.

Required Experience/Skills

• At least one year of experience in kitting, materials, warehouse, or inventory roles
• Basic understanding of BOMs, pick lists, work orders, and part number verification.
• Ability to follow material control processes, including alternates, substitutes, and revision-controlled parts.
• Working knowledge of WMS/ERP systems, RF scanning, and inventory transaction processing.
• Ability to identify and report inventory discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative, team-oriented work style.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience kitting in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Exposure to lean, 5S, or visual management practices.
• Familiarity with a specific ERP/WMS platform
• Forklift or material handling equipment certification.

Pay & Benefits Summary
