Materials Inventory Coordinator

About the Role

As a Materials Operations Specialist, you will serve as a vital link in our supply chain, ensuring that production and engineering teams have the components they need to succeed. You will leverage your expertise in ERP systems and inventory management to optimize material flow and maintain high standards of accuracy across all warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the seamless movement of materials, including receiving, kitting, and distribution to support critical production schedules.
• Utilize ERP dashboards to proactively identify and resolve inventory discrepancies before they impact project timelines.
• Maintain rigorous inventory security and organization within the parts cage to ensure 100% stock accuracy.
• Assemble complex job kits for engineering and production, ensuring all components are accounted for and staged correctly.
• Perform detailed inventory audits and maintain precise electronic and hardcopy records of all material transactions.
• Provide guidance to team members and serve as a subject matter expert on material handling and storage protocols.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics and production teams to expedite part availability and meet delivery milestones.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in material handling, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
• Advanced understanding of multi-level BOMs, parent-child assembly structures, and hierarchical inventory systems.
• Expertise in handling sensitive electronic components, including knowledge of shelf-life requirements and static-sensitive protocols.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using reel counters and managing kitting processes for electronic assemblies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Preferred Skills

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Prior experience providing backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
