Materials Manager

Description: The Materials Manager directs and oversees all functions of the Materials Management Department, including purchasing, inventory management, contract compliance, and vendor relations. This position is responsible for staff supervision and ensuring the efficient, cost-effective procurement of supplies, equipment, and services; proactively seeking opportunities to improve pricing. He/she maintains accurate inventory, pricing, purchasing, and stock master records; oversees purchase orders and invoice processing; coordinates service and maintenance contracts; and collaborates with department leaders, vendors, purchasing organizations, and Sanford Health to effectively manage the supply chain. The role is responsible for maintaining contract compliance, safety data sheets, monitoring pricing discrepancies and product recalls, and vendor relationships. He/she adheres to the mission, vision, and values of the Orange City Area Health System in all aspects of job performance.

Number of Hours: Full-Time: 40 hours/week.

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Educational Requirements: Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.

Other: Minimum of three years office experience in inventory, supply chain, purchasing, or related field. Previous leadership and hospital experience preferred. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and ERP software a plus.
