Materials Manager

Job Summary

The Materials Manager on-site position is located in New Haven, Missouri and is responsible for management and administration of materials management and logistics functions (ie., planning, procurement, scheduling, storage, inventory control, transportation and distribution) to ensure a lean, competitive manufacturing operation which meets company objectives and exceeds all customer requirements.

Duties

• Materials leader must clearly deliver expectations and possess the ability to coach, mentor & train team members to achieve expectations.
• Ability to hold team members accountable when expectations are not met.
• Establish goals and objectives with plant staff to budget and drive action plans.
• Lead PDCA problem solving teams to drive continuous improvement in key operational metrics.
• Responsible for all Materials Department functions; purchasing, material planning, releasing, material control, scheduling, receiving, MRO, production control, customer service, warehousing, shipping, labeling, transportation and import/export activities.
• Review department KPI indicators and establish corrective measures for performance adherence.
• Successfully manage new launches and engineering changes with respect to supply.
• Oversee effective material flow within facility and responsible for enforcement of safety and housekeeping standards.
• Responsible for the preparation and updating of procedures and manuals for all major functions of the department.
• Serve as Plex coordinator with respect to the plant ERP system.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university plus five years related experience
• Prefer CPIM certification or CPSM certification

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
