WE ARE HIRING: MATERIALS MANAGERS – OSP / TELECOM PROJECTS

Our client is seeking experienced Materials Managers to oversee material planning, warehousing, inventory, and distribution for telecommunications/OSP construction projects.

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Number of Positions: 6

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage material requirements based on project schedules, BOQs, and design packages.
• Coordinate purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inbound logistics.
• Track and expedite material deliveries to prevent project delays.
• Supervise receiving and quality inspection of materials.
• Manage regional warehouse operations, stock locations, storage conditions, FIFO, and stocktakes.
• Control material issuance to construction sites and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor inventory, consumption, shortages, and obsolete materials.
• Manage surplus, damaged, and obsolete materials.
• Reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and customers regarding material requirements and status.

Requirement’s

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in materials management, warehousing, or supply chain.
• Experience within construction, telecommunications, or EPC project environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of telecom OSP materials such as fiber optic cables, ducts, poles, fittings, splicing materials, and tools is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of inventory/ERP systems.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as CIPS or CSCP will be an advantage.
