P. Machibroda Engineering Ltd. (PMEL) is a Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering consulting firm based in Saskatoon. Since 1977, we have provided practical, down-to-earth engineering solutions for commercial, industrial and residential developments.

We are looking for a Materials Testing Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role with a mix of field and laboratory work and a great opportunity to learn and build your experience.

What You’ll Do

• Perform field density and other soil testing.
• Complete concrete testing, including field testing, cylinder preparation and strength testing.
• Perform laboratory testing of soils, including proctors, sieves, limits, hydrometers, CBRs, moisture contents and unit weights.
• Perform testing in accordance with CCIL specifications, where applicable.
• Accurately document testing results.
• Follow PMEL’s safe work practices and procedures.

What You Bring

• Civil Technologist or Technician diploma or relevant experience with Canadian soils is an asset, but not required.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work well as part of a team.
