As the Maternity Leave Substitute Middle School Math Teacher, you’ll deliver planned instruction, adapt lessons to students’ needs, and create a focused, supportive classroom. HOURS: Monday- Thursday 11:30AM- 4:40PM and Friday 11:00AM- 1:10PM

BEGINS: December 9th- 30th

Responsibilities

• Teach middle school math and implement the established curriculum through organized lesson planning and instruction.
• Use classroom and behavior management strategies to maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Adapt instruction for students with varied learning needs and cultural backgrounds; provide tutoring or support when appropriate.
• Collaborate with teachers and communicate with families about student learning, following school policies and mandated reporting laws.
• Use computers and educational technologies to support instruction and complete classroom tasks.

Requirements

• Experience working with children and students; classroom experience in teaching, childcare, preschool, or early childhood education is relevant.
• Knowledge of math, curriculum development and implementation, lesson planning, childhood development, and literacy education.
• Strong communication skills, instructional adaptability, teacher collaboration, and familiarity with school policy and mandated reporting responsibilities.
• Experience with special education or individuals with autism, private school experience, and working with diverse student populations are valuable.
• Tutoring experience and familiarity with educational technology are preferred.

Pay: From $150.00 per day
