Math & Reading Teachers/Tutors - Elementary & Middle School

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Math/Reading Teachers to work with elementary and middle school students in a supportive, personalized learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support students in grades 1–8 in mathematics and/or reading.
• Deliver personalized instruction using Sylvan's proven curriculum.
• Motivate students and create a positive learning experience.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with the Center Director and educational team.
• Maintain a professional and engaging classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of elementary and middle school mathematics and/or reading.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (Education, English, Literacy, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field).
• Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with students of different learning levels.
• Reliable, positive, and student-focused attitude.

Schedule

• Part-time and flexible schedules available.
• Afternoon, evening, and Saturday hours.
• Additional opportunities available for SAT/ACT Math instructors.

Compensation

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications ($25-$30, starting, based on experience).
