About MST Tutoring

MST Tutoring (Math, Science, and Test Prep) helps students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and achieve their educational goals. We are looking for knowledgeable, dependable, and student-focused tutors who enjoy helping learners succeed.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring.
• Help students with subject concepts, homework, test preparation, and study skills.
• Adapt lessons to students’ individual learning needs and academic goals.
• Track student progress and communicate relevant updates to parents and the MST team.
• Create a positive, supportive learning environment.

Schedule & Work Location

• Part-time, flexible schedule based on student needs and tutor availability.
• Availability for at least 2–3 days per week is preferred. Sunday availability is a plus.
• The center operates Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM. Tutors are not expected to be available for all operating hours.
• Tutoring is primarily in-person at our Wall Township, NJ center, with online sessions as needed.
• Candidates must be able to commute to the center.
• The center is closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

Subjects & Educational Levels

We welcome tutors with expertise in one or more subjects and educational levels, from elementary school through college.

Mathematics: Foundational math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics.

Science: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Test Preparation: SAT, ACT, HSPT, IBEW, and other applicable standardized or entrance exams, depending on your qualifications.

Elementary Skills: Reading, Writing, Language Arts, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and foundational math.Experience tutoring Advanced Placement (AP) courses or preparing students for AP exams is a plus.

You do not need to teach every subject or grade level. We will consider your areas of expertise and match assignments to your qualifications.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of one or more relevant subjects.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning needs.
• A degree or current enrollment in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.
• SAT/ACT preparation experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, patience, reliability, and organizational skills.

Pay: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour
