Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for middle and high school mathematics courses, including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, discrete math, differential equations, and related topics.
• Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction and create IT-integrated lessons that engage students effectively.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, classroom assessments, and tutoring sessions; provide timely feedback to support individual learning needs.
• Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and implementing best practices for teaching science and math subjects.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and support students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to educational technology integration, special education needs, and research-based instructional strategies.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of mathematical disciplines including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, discrete math, differential equations, and molecular biology concepts where applicable.
• Experience designing curriculum implementation and lesson planning for secondary education levels.
• Proficiency with learning technology tools and educational software for classroom instruction.
• Excellent communication skills for effective classroom teaching, mentoring students, and collaborating with colleagues.
• Classroom management expertise to create an inclusive environment conducive to learning for teenagers from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to assess student progress accurately through proofreading assessments and standardized testing methods.
• Familiarity with higher education teaching principles as they relate to secondary education standards; experience working with students with special education needs is a plus.

Pay: $59,524.46 - $71,685.37 per year
