Math Teacher

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
• Teach mathematics concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus
• Assess student progress through regular testing and assignments, providing constructive feedback
• Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
• Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning experiences
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic performance and behavior
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred
• Previous teaching experience in mathematics at the middle or high school level is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to convey them effectively to students
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse learners
• Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources for teaching mathematics is a plus
• A valid teaching certification or license as required by state regulations
