Math Teacher

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Math Teacher for a Grade 11 Student to inspire in his mathematical journey. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop engaging lesson plans, utilize innovative learning technologies, and support students’ academic success. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in mathematics and classroom management, along with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

• Design and deliver comprehensive math lessons aligned with curriculum standards, covering topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math.
• Develop innovative instructional materials and utilize technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, and assignments; provide timely feedback to support growth.
• Mentor students individually or in groups, offering tutoring and academic advising tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and educational strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports in accordance with school policies.

• Proven experience working with students in classroom settings, including private school or special education environments.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics subjects such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, discrete math, and molecular biology (if applicable).
• Familiarity with learning technology tools and instructional design principles to create engaging lessons.
• Excellent communication skills for effective instruction and mentoring.
• Experience with standardized testing procedures and assessment strategies.
• Background in research laboratory experience or scientific research is a plus but not required.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• Higher education teaching experience or certification is preferred; Montessori or other specialized teaching certifications are advantageous.
