We're looking for an engaging, dependable Math Tutor who enjoys creating meaningful connections with students while having the freedom to teach in their own style.

What You'll Do

• Provide personalized 1:1 tutoring for K-12 math students
• Teach Common Core Math I-IV (Calculus and Statistics experience is a plus)
• Assess each student's strengths and learning gaps
• Create customized lesson plans and instructional materials based on each student's needs
• Build lasting relationships with students and families
• Record brief session notes after each lesson
• Communicate professionally with parents when needed
• Deliver engaging virtual and/or in-person tutoring sessions

We trust our tutors as professionals and give you the autonomy to teach in the way you believe will best serve your students.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience
• Strong knowledge of K-12 mathematics aligned with the Common Core curriculum
• Comfortable teaching High School Math I, II, III and IV
• Calculus and/or Statistics experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable transportation for in-person sessions (Raleigh, Cary, Apex)
• Reliable high-speed internet and quiet workspace for virtual tutoring

Availability

• Minimum commitment of 6-10 hours per week
• Availability during after-school hours (Monday-Friday, approximately 3:00 PM-8:00 PM)
• Available throughout the 2026-2027 school year
• Available to teach in-person at local libraries​ in Cary, Apex, Raleigh NC.

Compensation

• $30/hour - Virtual tutoring
• $35/hour - In-person tutoring
