Math Tutor

We are looking for a warm, welcoming, energetic teacher to add to team of educators! Your schedule is flexible to what you want - we want to place you with the age group you prefer and the subjects you are most confident in on days that work for you! Summer sessions are offered Monday through Friday, 12-7pm. School year sessions are offered Monday-Friday 3pm-8pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. You do not need to be available for all hours! Groups of students are limited to three students each, so that you have time to build relationships and get to know your students well!

The teacher must:

• Be able to teach elementary school students (ability to teach middle school and high school students, especially in Math will allow us to schedule you for more hours!)
• Be comfortable with technology.
• Have a Bachelor's Degree. Current graduate students are highly encouraged to apply!

Preffered Qualitfications:

• Teaching experience and certification
• Being able to teach reading and witing
• Beaing able to speak Spanish or Japanese

We are currently teaching students online and in-person, but most of our students are in-person. Our students can range from K through college. However, most of our students are between 3rd and 8th grade.

Our current teachers work between 2 hours and 25 hours each week. If you are available for only a few hours each week and believe you are a good fit for this position, please still apply!

Job Type: Part-time

Starting Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Paid Sick Time: Teachers receive one hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked. We can also reschedule students when you are sick to meet with you on a different day.

Earn free tutoring sessions: Teachers receive one hour of tutoring for a student or organization they want to sponsor for every 10 hours worked. Sponsorship hours are added up at the end of each calendar year, to be utilized the following year.
