Math Tutor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our academic team and inspire students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with the Ontario Curriculum, experienced in education, and committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Math lessons to students from Grades 1 to 12, aligned with the Ontario Curriculum.
• Create and implement lesson plans that meet learning objectives across different age and skill levels.
• Use differentiated instruction strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Evaluate student progress through assessments, assignments, and class participation.
• Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and academic growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow educators regarding student development and progress.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Physics or a related field.
• Fluent in English
• Teaching experience with students from primary to high school level (Grades 1–12).
• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum.
• Demonstrated passion for teaching and a genuine interest in student learning.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• High level of patience, empathy, and adaptability.
• Teaching certification (OCT or equivalent) is an asset.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in using educational technology and online learning platforms.
• Ability to integrate cross-curricular themes and literacy strategies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
