Position Summary

Father's Harbor Academy is seeking a passionate and dependable Middle & High School Mathematics & Science Teacher . We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with students, can make mathematics engaging and understandable, and is committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned mathematics courses for grades.
• Prepare and deliver engaging daily lessons.
• Create a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet students' individual learning needs.
• Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and classroom participation.
• Maintain accurate grades and attendance using Gradelink.
• Utilize Google Classroom and other educational technology to support instruction.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to support student success.
• Maintain classroom organization and uphold school policies and expectations.

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong knowledge of middle and high school mathematics.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
• Professional, dependable, and organized.
• Willingness to learn new technology and instructional methods.

Preferred

• Previous teaching, tutoring, homeschooling, coaching, or youth mentoring experience.
• Experience teaching Algebra I, Geometry, or higher-level mathematics.
• Experience using Google Classroom, Gradelink, IXL, or other educational platforms.
• Familiarity with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards.

Physical Requirements

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
