Job Description

KN Academy is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and enthusiastic Primary Years Mathematics Teacher to join its academic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to make learning interactive, engaging, and easy for young learners.

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics according to the primary-level curriculum, developing students’ problem-solving skills, and creating a positive classroom environment that supports academic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons for primary-level students.
• Teach basic mathematical concepts, including numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, measurements, and geometry.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and classroom activities.
• Develop students’ logical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Assess students’ academic progress through classwork, homework, quizzes, and tests.
• Provide additional support to students who need help understanding mathematical concepts.
• Maintain classroom discipline and encourage active student participation.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ performance and progress.
• Communicate students’ learning progress and concerns to parents and school management when required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and students’ learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a relevant field.
• Previous teaching experience at the primary level is preferred.
• Understanding of the Cambridge curriculum is an advantage.
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Good communication and lesson-planning abilities.
• Ability to explain mathematical concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
• Passion for teaching and supporting young learners.
