Duties

• Deliver engaging, student-centered tutoring sessions in Maths and English, adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
• Assess students’ current skill levels and develop customized lesson plans to address specific learning needs
• Provide clear explanations of concepts, ensuring students understand and can apply their knowledge effectively
• Track progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies to maximize student improvement
• Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that motivates students to participate actively
• Communicate with parents or guardians about student progress and areas for improvement
• Support students with special educational needs by implementing tailored strategies that promote inclusive learning experiences

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Maths and English, preferably with children or young learners
• Strong communication skills to clearly convey concepts and build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds
• Experience working with children, including those with special education needs, is highly desirable
• Knowledge of effective teaching techniques and educational best practices
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
• Ability to assess individual learning styles and tailor instruction accordingly

Pay: £20.00 per hour
