Maths or Science Tutor with QTS

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Tutor and separate (or combined) Science Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to inspire and support learners in developing their Maths and Science skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse students, including those aiming for top grades and those with special educational needs, and to make a meaningful impact on their academic journey. As a Maths and/or Science Tutor with QTS, you will bring enthusiasm, expertise, and a student-centered approach to every session, fostering confidence and a love for learning.

Duties

• Deliver engaging and tailored Maths and/or Science tutoring sessions to students of various ages and abilities, including those with special educational needs
• Assess individual learning needs and develop personalized lesson plans that promote progress and confidence
• Use effective teaching strategies and resources to enhance understanding of topics
• Monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting approaches as needed
• Support students in preparing for exams, assessments, or specific language milestones
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress reports, and student achievements
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, or school staff to ensure a collaborative approach to student development

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the relevant education system
• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Maths and/or Science, especially working with children or young learners
• Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) strategies and accommodations is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills to engage students and collaborate with colleagues and parents
• Strong organizational skills to plan lessons and track student progress effectively
• Passion for education and a genuine desire to help students succeed in their language development

Pay: £18.78-£35.00 per hour
