Maunal Milling Operator

We are seeking an experienced Manual Milling Operator to join our machining team. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional vertical and horizontal milling machines to fabricate, modify, and repair precision metal components according to strict blueprint specifications.

The ideal candidate has strong setup capabilities, excellent shop math skills, and a commitment to maintaining tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional manual mills (e.g., Bridgeport-style knee mills, universal mills) and related shop equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, engineering schematics, and GD&T symbols.
• Perform precision milling operations including square-ups, slotting, fly cutting, boring, drilling, tapping, and keyway cutting.
• Mount, level, and align workpieces using vices, rotary tables, angle plates, fixture clamps, and 3-axis Digital Readouts (DRO).
• Select appropriate cutting tools (end mills, face mills, reamers), feeds, speeds, and coolants based on material specs.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, gauge blocks, and dial test indicators to hold tight tolerances (e.g., ±0.001").
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience operating manual/conventional milling machines (required).
• Skills: Proficient in blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and shop math.
• Tools: High proficiency using precision measuring equipment and 3-axis DRO systems.
• Setup Ability: Strong ability to indicate vices, locate zero points, and set up complex or non-standard workpieces independently.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [e.g., 50 lbs].
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; vocational school or Machinist Apprenticeship training is preferred.

Pay: Rs35,000.00 - Rs55,000.00 per month
