Role & responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations and obtain detailed medical histories.
• Perform physical examinations and assess patients' medical conditions.
• Diagnose common illnesses and medical conditions.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans as appropriate.
• Order and interpret relevant laboratory tests and diagnostic investigations.
• Provide emergency and first-line medical care when required.
• Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans when necessary.
• Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
• Educate patients and their families about diseases, medications, treatment, and preventive healthcare.
• Follow established clinical protocols, hospital policies, and medical guidelines.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards in all patient interactions.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, specialists, technicians, and other healthcare staff.
• Participate in clinical meetings, training programs, and continuing medical education.
• Ensure proper infection-control and patient-safety practices.

Required Qualifications

• MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized medical institution.
• Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council/authority.
• Completion of internship as required by applicable regulations.
• Current authorization/licence to practice medicine.

Preferred candidate profile

• Fresh MBBS graduates/interns may be considered, depending on the position and applicable regulations.
• Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, emergency department, or primary-care setting is an advantage.
