MBR Designer – MES / PAS-X
We’re looking for an experienced Master Batch Record (MBR) Designer to support a pharmaceutical / biotech manufacturing project on a contract basis.
You’ll be responsible for designing, configuring and testing electronic Master Batch Records within an MES environment, helping translate manufacturing requirements into compliant, production-ready solutions.
The role would suit someone who is hands-on, comfortable working at pace and can quickly get up to speed within a project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with project and manufacturing teams to understand business and production requirements.
- Translate design blueprints into GMBRs, MBRs, PMBRs, PVLs and ESPs.
- Design and configure electronic batch records within Körber PAS-X.
- Support MES master data creation and configuration.
- Support integration of MES hardware including printers, scanners and clients.
- Test and troubleshoot designs with end users in the DEV environment.
- Support verification, validation and production deployment activities.
- Provide Early Life Support and Hypercare following go-live.
- Maintain project documentation and deliverables against agreed milestones.
Required Experience
- 3–5 years' experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or animal health manufacturing.
- 2–3+ years of hands-on electronic batch record / eBR design experience.
- Strong experience with Körber PAS-X is preferred; PharmaSuite, Siemens Opcenter or similar MES platforms also considered.
- Experience mapping manufacturing processes using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
- Good understanding of GMP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
- Previous experience working within an FDA-regulated environment.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities within a project environment.
- Ability to work independently and deliver against tight project deadlines.
Industry experience is essential — candidates must have previous experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or animal health environments.
Contract Details
- 6-12 months intial contract - potential to extend
- Remote with occasional on-site requirements
- Project-based engagement
- Immediate / short-term availability preferred
- Experience supporting MES deployments and go-live activities highly desirable
If you’re an experienced MBR Designer with strong PAS-X / eBR experience and are available for a contract project, we’d be interested in speaking with you.
