MC Drivers-Pilbara

About the role

Binbirri Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking experienced MC Drivers to join our team in Port Hedland, Western Australia. This is a casual position within our road transport operations in the Pilbara region. As an MC Driver, you will be responsible for operating multi-combination vehicles safely and efficiently, transporting goods across the Pilbara area. This role is essential to our logistics operations and requires a professional, safety-conscious approach to all driving responsibilities. The position offers flexibility through casual work arrangements, allowing you to manage your schedule whilst contributing to our transport needs.

Key responsibilities

• Operate multi-combination (MC) vehicles safely and in compliance with all relevant road transport legislation and regulations
• Transport goods efficiently across the Pilbara region, meeting delivery schedules and customer expectations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order
• Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation in accordance with legal requirements
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and other team members regarding load status and delivery times
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Manage load securing and ensure cargo is transported safely and securely

What we're looking for

• Valid MC (Multi-Combination) Licence issued in Australia 2 years' experience

• FIFO 2 and 1 Roster from Perth WA only. Dayshift only

• Minimum 2 years road train experience required

• Current BHP inductions highly regarded

• Current Fatigue management certificate and white card

• Current National Police check or be able to get one

• Able to pass drug/alcohol testing

• Able to complete online inductions

• Able to complete daily paperwork

• Maintain OHS and hygiene standards

• Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks

• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance on trucks

• Proven experience operating multi-combination vehicles in demanding road conditions

• Strong understanding of road transport legislation and fatigue management rules

• Excellent safety record and commitment to safe driving practices

• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule in a casual capacity

• Professional communication skills and reliability

• Experience working in remote or regional areas is advantageous

• Knowledge of Pilbara region roads and conditions is preferred
