Roles and responsibilities:

Motor Controller / EV Powertrain Job Description

• Strong understanding of motor controller architecture, interfaces, diagnostics, and control functions for EV powertrain systems.

• Experience in testing and validating motor and inverter systems to verify controller and model performance.

• Good knowledge of different electric motor technologies, including:

• BLDC

• PMSM

• Induction Motors

• Switched Reluctance Motors (SRM)

• Hands-on experience with motor control strategies, including:

• Vector Control

• Sensorless Control

• Scalar Control

• Field Weakening

• Experience with vehicle-level integration of motor and motor controller, ensuring compliance with vehicle performance requirements.

• Good understanding of CAN and LIN communication protocols.

• Experience in preparing and executing DVP, conducting DFMEA for electrical components, and maintaining ECN-related documentation.

• Knowledge of HEV/EV electrical features and functions, along with EMI/EMC requirements.

• Understanding of ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements applicable to EV electrical systems.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Ability to work with creative design and problem-solving approaches while meeting project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
