MD Medicine

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MD Medicine role based in Jaipur, India. The physician will provide comprehensive clinical care, including patient examination, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, primarily in a home-care context. Daily responsibilities include prescribing and reviewing medications, ordering and interpreting lab tests, coordinating with nursing, physiotherapy, and home health aide teams, and creating individualized treatment plans. The role involves performing follow-up visits, monitoring patient progress, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and maintaining accurate medical records. The MD Medicine professional will also advise families on preventive care, support discharge planning from hospitals to home care, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives across services.

Qualifications

• Recognized MD in General Medicine (or equivalent) and valid medical license/registration to practice in India.
• Strong clinical skills in diagnosis, treatment, and management of adult medical conditions, including chronic disease management and emergency stabilization.
• Experience or interest in home-based care, geriatric care, and managing patients with multiple comorbidities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, physiotherapists, lab technicians, and home health aides.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and families, providing clear explanations, and obtaining informed consent.
• Competence in maintaining detailed medical documentation and using electronic or digital health record systems where required.
• Strong ethical standards, patient-centric approach, and commitment to evidence-based medical practice.
• Willingness to work on-site in Himachal Pradesh and travel locally for home visits as needed.
• Prior experience in internal medicine, primary care, or home health services is preferred.
