MDK – Validation Engineer

Role: MDK - Validation Engineer 10 positions Experience: 5+ Years in Automotive Validation and Testing

Key Responsibilities

• Validate Digital Key / Mobile Device Key (MDK) features across multiple vehicle platforms.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex automotive systems and interactions between ECUs, backend services, and mobile applications.
• Develop, execute, and automate test cases for functional, integration, and system-level validation.
• Perform vehicle measurements, logging, and data analysis to identify software and system defects.
• Support flashing, coding, and software updates using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct HIL testing and automation activities using dSPACE environments.
• Collaborate with system, software, and vehicle integration teams to ensure feature quality and compliance.

Required Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of automotive validation experience, preferably in Connected Car and Mobile Device Key (MDK) features.
• Hands-on experience in vehicle-level static testing, test case development, defect analysis, debugging.
• Proficiency with dSPACE HIL, CANoe, ODIS, CP Tool, NFC Sniffer, Android ADB, and Restbus Simulation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in global cross-functional teams.
• German language proficiency at B2 level or higher and good English communication skills (written and spoken).

Preferred

• Experience with vehicle systems such as MDK, Door Handle, BCM, ICAS1, HCP4/HCP5, ConMod, ICC, Wireless Charger, Central Display, and Backend Connectivity.
• Good understanding of Access Control, Central Locking, KESSY, Immobilizer, IAA (Primary User), and Authentic Time.
• Prior experience in Mobile Device Key (MDK) validation.
• Familiarity with VW Group development and validation processes.
• Strong knowledge of VW Group platforms: MQB/MQB Evo, MEB, and PPE
