Are you a patient, caring individual looking to join a nurturing and supportive nursery environment? At Pinecones Nursery School, we are seeking a dedicated Meal time assistant to become part of our dedicated team and help provide outstanding care and healthy lifestyle education for our children.

The Role

As a Meal time assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children's health, wellbeing and communication ensuring they receive the highest quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS nutrition guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• To contribute to the smooth running of the setting, by assisting staff with appropriate mealtime resources
• Provide a safe, caring and stimulating mealtime environment for all children.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide children with healthy, balanced and nutritious food
• Build positive relationships with staff and children
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent standards of hygiene, health and safety throughout the nursery; with particular regard for the kitchen

What We're Looking For

Part time staff members |Unqualified/qualified | 9.15am-2.15pm (approx)

Essential:

• A genuine passion for working with young children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A caring, enthusiastic and proactive approach.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
• Up-to-date safeguarding and paediatric first aid training.
• Up-to-date food hygiene and health and safety certificates
• Cleaning and COSHH experience
• Knowledge of the EYFS and the nutrition guidance
• Safer eating training
