Meat Cutter/Butcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in food production and preparation. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for processing various types of meat, ensuring high standards of quality and safety while providing excellent customer service. Your expertise in knife skills and food handling will be essential in delivering fresh, high-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to specifications and customer requests.
• Ensure all meat is handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Ensuring proper labeling
• Assist customers/servers with inquiries regarding meat products
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the department.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Help with fulfilling meat orders in the meat line to send to our customers
• Restock and clean the meat line as well as our walk-in fridge and freezer

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in food production or preparation.
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cutting techniques.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and well as your team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A culinary background is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to lift heavy items as needed and stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.90 per hour
