Meat Wrapper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, wrapping, and labeling various meat products while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Meat Preparation: Receive, inspect, and prepare various cuts of meat for wrapping, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Wrapping and Packaging: Securely wrap meat products using appropriate materials and techniques to maintain freshness and visual appeal.
• Weighing and Labeling: Accurately weigh packaged meat and apply correct labels with product name, weight, and any other required information.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain wrapping machines, scales, and other related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Sanitation and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations. Clean and sanitize equipment regularly.
• Adherence to Regulations: Follow all company policies, procedures, and food safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned: Assist with other tasks within the meat department as needed

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation or handling is preferred but not required.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
• Basic math skills for accurate pricing and weight calculations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 50lbs).
