Required Qualifications

Education

• Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completes a recognized electrical lineman apprenticeship program or holds a journeyman certification.

Experience

• Brings five or more years of hands-on experience in Electrical Distribution and line construction.
• Demonstrates at least two years of proven experience in Crew Leadership and supervisory roles.

Knowledge/Skills

• Possesses expert knowledge of High Voltage systems and industry safety regulations.
• Applies advanced problem-solving techniques for effective Troubleshooting.
• Reads and interprets complex engineering drawings through Blueprint Reading.
• Masters the safe operation of various utility vehicles and Equipment Operation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Holds a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Certifies in advanced first aid and CPR.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions

• Performs physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Lifts heavy materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Climates poles and works at significant heights using appropriate fall protection gear.
• Travels frequently to various job sites and responds to emergency call-outs outside of normal working hours.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs daily crew activities to complete overhead and underground projects on schedule and within budget.
• Leads hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training processes to build a skilled and high-performing field team.
• Supervises crew members by providing clear work direction, performance feedback, and daily operational oversight.
• Ensures strict adherence to Safety Compliance and OSHA Standards across all job sites to protect personnel and equipment.
• Manages complex high-voltage operations involving Overhead Line Construction and Underground Residential Distribution (URD).
• Troubleshoots electrical system issues rapidly to restore power and minimize service interruptions.
• Interprets technical documents through accurate Blueprint Reading to guide precise field installation and repairs.
• Operates specialized machinery and heavy equipment safely to support line construction and maintenance tasks.

Expert knowledge of high-voltage systems, blueprint reading, and equipment operation is essential. Preferred qualifications include a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and advanced first aid or CPR certification.
