Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment within a manufacturing facility. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation, safety, and efficiency of machinery and systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, with a passion for keeping production running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments.
• Repair or replace faulty components using welding techniques such as stick welding and other fabrication methods.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
• Read electrical blueprints and schematics to diagnose electrical system faults and implement effective repairs.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics on low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Support field service operations by performing equipment repairs on-site at various locations within the facility or customer sites.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery or upgrades, including programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting control systems.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to high voltage, electrical systems, and heavy equipment operation such as scissor lifts.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with team members and clients about repair status and technical issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience working in an industrial or manufacturing facility environment with a focus on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), and industrial mechanics.
• Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics including reading schematics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing electrical maintenance using tools like voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics interpretation.
• Skilled in welding techniques such as stick welding; ability to fabricate or repair metal components as needed.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for managing maintenance workflows.
• Ability to read engineering schematics and blueprints accurately for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage control circuits, high voltage safety procedures, and electrical blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of field service operations including equipment repair at customer sites or remote locations.
• Excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions efficiently.
• Strong communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Valid certifications or licenses related to industrial electrician work or HVAC/R are preferred but not mandatory.
