Mechanic

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other components of trucks.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lights, and ignition systems.
• Inspect and test truck systems and components to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues accurately and efficiently.
• Keep detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed on each truck.
• Follow established procedures and safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and waste.
• Provide recommendations for preventative maintenance and identify potential problems before they occur.
• Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers.

• Strong knowledge of truck engine systems, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
