Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of heavy equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, automotive repair, and the use of power tools. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engines and related systems, including hydraulics and suspensions.
• Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs.
• Utilize power tools and equipment to complete repairs effectively.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify potential issues.
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary to facilitate repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure optimal performance of all equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in diesel mechanic work or automotive repair is essential.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, shocks, struts, and related components.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required.
• Proficient in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing mechanical issues.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on the specific job duties.
