Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, heavy equipment operation, and maintenance. This role requires hands-on expertise in diagnosing and repairing various types of machinery, including Fork lift equipment and industrial equipment. The Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Also we need some who is trained on electrics and able to read schematics and diagnose. You must have your own tools to do the job

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles and heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, and tractors.
• Perform routine maintenance on automotive systems such as transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC, and diesel engines.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to conduct repairs and assembly tasks.
• Interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Conduct alignment checks and brake repairs to ensure safety standards are met.
• Fabricate parts when necessary using welding techniques.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanic with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices.
• Experience working with farm machinery and industrial equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to perform soldering tasks.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles related to vehicle maintenance including shocks & struts, tire service, and assembly.
• Ability to lift heavy objects as required for repairs (heavy lifting).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
