MECHANIC

A Mechanic in logistics inspects, repairs, and maintains fleet vehicles and material handling equipment to keep supply chains moving safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Services warehouse machinery like forklifts, motorized pallet jacks, and electric counterbalances.
• Maintains logs of repairs, parts inventory, and service schedules to comply with safety standards.

Qualification

• High school diploma or vocational training/technical course in automotive technology.
• TESDA Automotive Servicing NC II or similar trade certifications are a strong advantage.
• Hands-on background in diesel or gasoline engine troubleshooting within a transport, warehouse, or logistics setting.
• A valid professional driver's license is often required for testing fleet vehicles.
