Mechanic

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Mechanic to join our motorpool team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive servicing of trucks and trailers to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient motorpool operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain truck and trailer chassis, wheels, air systems, and other mechanical components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform the necessary repairs.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance and inspection of trucks and trailers.
• Install, replace, and test truck and trailer parts and components.
• Inspect air lines and related systems and check for leaks or other defects.
• Assist in parking, arranging, and organizing trucks and trailers within the motorpool.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Coordinate with the Motorpool Supervisor and team regarding required parts, repairs, and maintenance work.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Strictly follow company safety procedures and proper PPE requirements.
• Provide assistance to other motorpool personnel when needed.
• Respond to truck rescue, breakdown, or emergency repair requirements when assigned.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Motorpool Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or vocational graduate; preferably with a background in Automotive or Diesel Mechanics.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in truck, trailer, diesel, or automotive repair and maintenance.
• Knowledgeable in mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with air brake and air line systems is an advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual and hands-on mechanical work.
• Willing to work onsite and render overtime when necessary.
• Willing to be assigned to Bulacan and Baesa, Caloocan for truck and trailer repairs and maintenance.
• Willing and available to provide truck rescue or emergency roadside assistance whenever needed.
• Valid driver's license is an advantage.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a team.
