Mechanic

Job Summary The Mechanic is responsible for assembling, disassembling, aligning, maintaining, and repairing specialized industrial machinery and related equipment in a manufacturing environment. The position works independently under general supervision and may require flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, or holidays based on business needs.

Essential Functions

• Assemble machinery and equipment according to blueprints, drawings, and layout plans.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment using hand and power tools.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, and hand tools.
• Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment as needed.
• Perform a variety of mechanical tasks that may change based on production needs.
• Complete assigned work while following quality and safety standards.
• Work with minimal supervision when required.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 3+ years of experience as an entry- to mid-level mechanic, or completion of a recognized mechanical assembly training program.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to follow precise procedures and work within required standards of accuracy.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission systems, and tubing/piping is preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and use required protective equipment.
• Good communication and self-motivation skills.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand for an entire work shift.
